New Treasures

Dear blogging friends,
again I found some amazing little frozen charlottes.

They are great for almost any project. They fit in niches in altered books, in shadow boxes and they are small and light enough to be used in jewelry or even Christmas ornaments.

They have so much character, and I just love their potential for symbolism!

In the past frozen charlotte dolls were often used to cool hot tea, or baked into breads, and larger ones were even designed to float on their backs in the bath. The history behind frozen charlottes is just amazing.

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week and as always thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to leave a comment.

THOSE ARE FABULOUS, GABY! You guys are so lucky with all of the magical LOG history of the European countries! There are all sorts of amazing little things from the past like these dolls. I was so struck with how "young" the US is in comparison to the rich history there.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such nice comments! NO worries about not commenting alot. We are all so busy! You know I LOVE everything you post. Your work is totally off the charts amazing and everything you post is fascinating to me! Hugs to you, sweet girl!
